The Role of the Community in Tackling Hoarding Problem

The Kane County Task Force on Hoarding will host an all-day seminar at Prisco Community Center in Aurora. With the goal to get many people to work together to develop a care plan for hoarding cases, social workers, police, mental health officers and legal experts are expected to attend the said event.

According to officer Doug Rashkow, the hoarding problem itself is a very complicated as it involves various issues which may require group involvement. During the entire process, clean-up and renovations are required. Hoarding is a complicated issue which is why it is necessary for the community to get involved.
