Thanks to TV shows that focus on the lives of hoarders, most people are familiar now, even though on a superficial level, with hoarding. They associate it with living in junk and filth. Few people would ever associate it with collections of fine art and expensive pieces.
But experts say that hoarding and collecting are related.
