Dealing with hoarder clients can be quite different from proceeding transactions with non-hoarder individuals. Given that their behaviors are facilitated by a psychological condition, one must treat a hoarder with utmost care and sensitivity while still maintaining a measure of professionalism.

If you find yourself transacting with client with a hoarding condition, here are some things that you should keep in mind:
  • Above everything, consider and secure everyone’s safety in the location
  • Do a research about the condition of your client and determine the proper approach and advances that you can take
  • Be patient, compassionate and respectful
