Piles of trash prevented authorities from being able to determine how many bats, cats, and rats were living inside a house in Philadelphia.
Authorities were called to the house where they found the homeowner unconscious. According to Wendy Marano, the spokeswoman for the Philadelphia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, five living cats and four dead ones were found inside the property. Marano said it was horrible and everything was covered in animal waste, and spiders, wild bats, and rats had also infested the entire house.
The owner’s name has not been released but he was currently hospitalized because of an unspecified ailment. The owner may also face several charges related to animal cruelty.
