What is Hoarding Really Like?

Hoarding, a well-known condition in its extreme form, is simply saving or accumulating stuff. As a matter of fact, this mental condition is considered a psychiatric disorder. A person who has hoarding tendencies has unrealistic and irrational fixation to his accumulated possessions. The Institute for Challenging Disorganization characterizes hoarding by:

–          Difficulty discarding possessions that appear of limited or no value.

–          Livings spaces are sufficiently cluttered.

–          Individual may experience distressed caused by the clutter.
