Reducing Fire Risks in a Hoarder’s Home

If you share a home with a hoarder, you would know that the person’s recovery process takes more than just days or weeks. Throughout the time that you are helping him overcome his anxiety and slowly let go of his collections, you will have to find ways to ensure that the latter does not pose major risks to you and your home.
Here are some fire safety tips:
  • Keep the cooking area clear
  • Don’t place items on top of heat-emitting appliances
  • Don’t store gas cylinders inside the house
  • Use as ashtray for smoking, and avoid doing it indoors
  • Make sure you have a working smoke alarm

I am so impressed with the job that Gregg and Karen did for my aunt's home. Not only did they take the time to explain thorougly what they were going to do, but they did EXACTLY as they promised.

We never expected to get the sales price for the house that we ended up getting. If you had seen my aunt's home before they started, you would know why. By the time the job was done, the house looked totally transformed.

Needless to say... I highly recommend their services!
