Punjab: Law to check Illegal Hoardings SoonJalandhar, Punjab: Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal stated that the Punjab Cabinet is about to approve a bill envisaging criminal proceedings against those who were behind the erection of illegal hoardings.

Badal directed district authorities and deputy commissioners to intensify their drive against illegal hoardings in the cities. He said, “The Punjab Government is of the firm view that it is the responsibility of the district administration to ensure latest outdoor advertisement policy passed by the State Cabinet is implemented in true spirit and they should ensure that no illegal hoarding was allowed in any city.”

The deputy Chief Minister added, “Any violation of municipal bylaws would not be tolerated.”
