Attention Hoarders! – Help is Available

Hoarding is major behavioral problem that can affect a patient’s life in a very major way. Even though it can cause huge issues, it is worth noting that hoarding disorder has not been a much researched mental issue. Other mental problems have received much more attention from experts in the past, but that’s all set to change now.

Mental health experts from Franklin County, Pa. have gathered together in order to discuss how to handle hoarding disorder properly. They are coming together in recognition of the fact that it is a major problem that has not received too much attention in the past. Here is a part of the article about this by JENNIFER FITCH which appeared in the The Herald Mail , “We do go into homes where this is a problem,” said Michelle Briggs, a Franklin County Area Agency on Aging care manager.

Her co-worker, Ashley McCullough, said the agency often receives calls from concerned relatives of a possible hoarder.

“This is a big problem,” she said. “There are different strategies and ways to help someone.”

Colleen McDonnell from Set Me Free! professional organizing conducted the training. She is a former hospice and long-term care social worker whose “dream job” tackles clutter.”

I am so impressed with the job that Gregg and Karen did for my aunt's home. Not only did they take the time to explain thorougly what they were going to do, but they did EXACTLY as they promised.

We never expected to get the sales price for the house that we ended up getting. If you had seen my aunt's home before they started, you would know why. By the time the job was done, the house looked totally transformed.

Needless to say... I highly recommend their services!
