A Million Australians are Facing Problems Connected to Hoarding

Some of the latest figures are suggesting that hoarding is increasing in the country and its effects could be really destructive, it could be from evictions and causing people to become homeless and also negative effects on health and disputes in the neighborhood.

According to a Brisbane forum today, about one million Australians face problems that are associated with hoarding and squalor. Brisbane City councilor Krista Adams said, “Hoarding and squalor is a severe issue in Queensland affecting not only the people living in such environments, but also their families, carers, neighborhoods and communities.” And this problem will cost millions of dollars statewide mentioned by Local Government Association Queensland chief executive officer Greg Hallam.

The said forum will continue on Tuesday.
